Egg, nest and cat exhibits

Book a class visit today! Whether you want a general tour of the Museum’s collection facility or a specialized activity to correspond with your curriculum, we are happy to work with you to create a memorable and rewarding experience.

Staff are also able to provide virtual tours and off-site presentations to your group.

  1. Request a class visit.
  2. Please submit requests at least one week before anticipated visit.
  3. A request is not the same as a booking as there may be a prior event or booking. You will be contacted by museum staff to confirm your group’s visit and answer any additional questions.
  1. While 1 -15 people is optimal size for a tour, larger groups can be accommodated with additional tour guides and more time.
  2. There is no minimum age for class visits. However, the current facilities and offerings will be most suitable for 4th grade and up.
  3. Tours and presentations are available Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  4. Parking is free and readily available at the Museum. The #21 U of A bus route stops in front of the building. The stop name is “Biomass.” Contact us to learn about bus parking options.
  5. There are no costs associated with tours or class experiences.
  6. Food, drinks, bags, and coats are not permitted on tours. There will be a designated place to put these items.
  7. Photos without flash are permitted unless otherwise specified during the tour.

University faculty may request loans of collection materials for their classes. Contact us to discuss further.

K-12 instructors can request to have Museum staff visit the classroom with collection materials. The Museum is also developing learning kits that can be loaned to classes. There is currently one kit available. Please contact staff to learn more.
