A photograph, water bottle, doctor’s saddle bag, and pair of sneakers.

Seemingly random items, but there is more than meets the eye with them. What ties the objects together?

We as humans have inscribed them with meaning and value. They are expressions of self, community, and the dedication and passion that drive us in life. They are the story of who we are.

In Fall 2021, the Honors College Forum ARTIFACT class explored objects inside and outside museums, (re)considering the material world around them. Utilizing museum and personal artifacts, the students co-curated this exhibit alongside University of Arkansas Museum staff.

Take a closer look. Experience another person’s perspective. (Re)consider the world around you. Plus, experience the exhibit with music selected by the curators! Visit the exhibit’s Spotify playlist.
